It wouldn't surprise me at all. Most home schoolers are not "unschoolers".
They often are homeschooling for religious reasons - reasons that often
include heavy doses of "family values".
I do remember one father in Highland's first year of existence who came to me
complaining (mostly in jest) that the biggest change for him in having his 10
year old at the school was that before, when the kid went to the public
school, the parents were the "good guys" (ie - more relaxed, fewer rules,
more freedom). At Highland, the situation was the reverse!
